Nothing Otter as Chalfont enjoy record medal haul

CHALFONT Otters are eyeing more success after enjoying a bumper club championship presentation evening.

A record number of swimmers received medals, certificates and cups achieved at thr 32nd Club Championships, at St Joseph's Parish Hall.

Club records had been broken by Alexandra Ahern, Georgina Bradley, Emily Lloyd, Harvey James, Jonathan Patten, Joshua Radvan and Giles Westgarth.

This follows on from successes in Chiltern and National Arena League, where the Otters, based at Chalfont Leisure Centre and Amersham Pool, won promotion by finishing runners up.

The overall junior cup winners were Roma Sachak-Patwa and Harvey James, while the senior cups were won by Emily Morley and Radvan.

Lucia Finan and Ashley Wilkie were also recognised for their contributions to the club. Roma Sachak-Patwa and Harvey James were named new junior club captains and Alice Barraclough and Darrell Baker the senior club captains.

Otters chairman Paul Baker said: “It was a fantastic night and was really great to see so many parents and swimmers applauding the hard work and dedication of their children and fellow squad members.”
