By Eight in a row for Chesham Bois

CHESHAM Bois secured an eighth straight victory on Saturday, comfortably beating Bradenham by six wickets – a win that keeps them on top of the table with their unbeaten record intact.

Bradenham elected to bat on a slow wicket and runs were hard to come by as Faraq Latif and Pete Green bowled with extreme control.

Skipper Mike Adams and Phil Ashwell then came on to turn the screw. In a joint 24-over spell, the pair conceded just 53 runs with Adams’ pace at one end working beautifully in tandem with the off spin of Ashwell at the other.
Adams finished with figures of 1-18 from his 12 overs with Ashwell taking a season's best of 6-35. Some great fielding from the Bois saw Bradenham collapse from 75-2 to 116 all out.

Chesham Bois reply got off to a slow start with the loss of an early wicket before man of the match Ashwell stole the show.

Some glorious stroke play saw him reach 48 before being dismissed by an unlucky stumping off the wicket keeper’s pads.

Latif ably supported Ashwell, making 32 as the pair adding 80 for the second wicket.

A couple of wickets fell quickly but the slight wobble was stabilised by Adams who guided his team home, hitting the winning runs with a glorious straight drive.
