Cup win highlight for blind bowlers

The Chesham Pioneers Blind Bowlers have completed another enjoyable summer season, playing games against both blind and sighted bowls clubs.


The highlight was the team of Janet Gehrig, Sue Rogers and George Baker winning the cup and gold medals at a triples tournament in north west Surrey which was contested by six triples from blind bowls in a round robin. The Pioneers were also runners-up to Wycombe Chestnuts in the annual Ken Kenny Tournament held at Chesham Bowling Club, and they are grateful to their helpers for their continued support and to the Park club for the use of their facilities.
