Harewood Downs host national junior clubs

Harewood Downs Golf Club hosted the English Junior Champion Club Tournament at the weekend, in which Knowle from Bristol became the first club to win  the title twice when they came out on top after a testing two days.

Winners in 2006 at Woodhall Spa, Knowle topped the leaderboard again with 145 Stableford points, three ahead of East Sussex National, who were second on countback, and Stoneham from Hampshire.

The Knowle team of two girls, Courtney Stone and Jemmima Gregson, and Louis O’Regan – who had broken his leg eight weeks previously – had a combined age of 39 and a combined handicap of 59.
