CHALFONT boss Danny Edwards said he has already begun re-shaping his squad for next season after swooping for two new players.
Striker David Lawrence netted on his debut last week after joining from Evo-Stik Division One Central rivals Uxbridge while goalkeeper Gary Jallow was snapped up from North Greenford United.
The double swoop represents a decent bit of business for Edwards as he looks to continue building the Saints into a force in the division after a successful debut this year.
And he said their comfortable mid-table league position allows him the luxury of blooding new signings early.
"David has a good pedigree but was being played out of position at Uxbridge," he said. "He scored for us at Daventry and was excellent on Saturday (as Chalfont drew 1-1 at Slough). He is a proven goalscorer while Gary is considered one of the best goalkeeper's in the division.
"We have done very well this season but we have been inconsistent. I think we need to bring in about four or five new players to freshen things up and it helps that I can bring some in now and blood them in the team and the dressing room."
