Matt Whichelow
MATT Whichelow was pleased to join Wycombe's debut goalscoring club on Saturday.
The 20-year-old headed in a first-half equaliser as Wanderers came from behind to beat Tranmere and climb out of the bottom four on Saturday.
The Watford loanee became the fifth player to score on his full debut for Blues this season alongside James Tunnicliffe, Marcello Trotta, Anthony McNamee and Jordon Ibe.
And he was happy to net a rare headed goal and help his new side secure three vital points.
He said: “Being five foot seven they (headed goals) are hard to come by but I was just pleased to score. I have heard about the tradition about new loan players coming in and scoring so it was nice to keep up with that and pleased that the team got the win.
“I thought all the lads put their body on the line and everyone was superb. To come in and see that sort of desire was a good thing for me.
“I just want to come here, play as much as possible and help them climb up the table.”
