BOTH Exeter City and Wycombe Wanderers have struggled to adapt to life in League One after being promoted last season.
Grecians boss Paul Tisdale became their most successful ever manager when he achieved back-to-back promotions when they clinched second spot in League Two last term – just one point ahead of third-placed Wycombe.
It is an equally tight race between the two clubs this season but at the wrong end of the League One table.
Two places and six points separate the two sides in the relegation zone after the Grecians slipped into trouble after a poor run of form.
Their midweek home win over Bristol Rovers was their first since a shock 2-0 home win over Leeds United on January 16.
Goalscoring is their major problem and they have only managed to score three goals in their last seven league games.
Wanderers have never beaten Exeter in a league match with their only home win against them coming in the shape of a 1-0 win in the FA Trophy ten years ago.
