Presence at Westminster on 13th October - We need YOU!

Don’t let the "YES TO HS2" supporters steal the day

Thanks to all those who have signed petitions and written to their MPs the big debate on HS2 will now be taking place at the Houses of Parliament next Thursday 13th October.

The anti-HS2 lobby have permission from the Metropolitan Police to be in Old Palace Yard (just opposite the Houses of Parliament) to show the strength of feeling against HS2 and that we are not just a handful of NIMBYs but a force of well informed and unconvinced taxpayers from every walk of life.

If you are willing to turn up just once - then PLEASE make it THIS time. Take a morning off (if you can), arrange child care (if you can) - your contribution to this show of support and solidarity is VITAL.

This debate is the result of months of hard campaigning - your presence is ESSENTIAL.

The anti-HS2 supporters will meet at 10.30 am in Old Palace Yard, the media and photo shoot are expected at 1.00pm. Westminster is a quick and easy one hour journey by train on the Metropolitan or Chiltern line (Baker St direct to Westminster, three stops on the Jubilee line). Wear your T-shirts, carry your placards - the White Elephant is expected too.

A group will be catching the 09.19 train from Great Missenden, please contact Sarah Raffety (sarah@turville-valley-wines.com
) so that she can get an idea of numbers - or just turn up on the day. Alternatively organise your own group: tell your family, friends and neighbours - encourage them to come and give their support too.

www.highspeedrail.org.uk  > (a fully automated site which takes you directly to your M.P) and register your opposition to HS2. Our MPs need YOUR support if they are to fight OUR cause successfully on the 13th October.
