Tyson to move to South Bucks?

RUMOURS are circulating in Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross that Mike Tyson could be moving to the area.

The former heavyweight world champion, who bit off part of the ear of opponent Evander Holyfield during a fight in 1997, is set to spend six months in the UK next year on the after dinner speaking circuit.

He is reported to be looking for somewhere to live while he spends time in the country and is said to be looking for rented accommodation in South Bucks.

The Advertiser has this week been contacted by three separate sources, including one with links to an estate agent, all of whom have said that Tyson is looking for places in the area.

One source said: "He has definitely been making enquiries about renting in the area. The majority of his speaking dates are likely to be in London, so he sees Chalfont St Peter or Gerrards Cross as ideal.

"He has had people look at the area and is very keen. If he does come here it would be in the early part of next year."

Tyson, along with Muhammed Ali, is regarded as one of the best heavyweight boxers of all time, but his career was dogged with controversy.

He was banned from the sport for three years after being convicted of rape, and two years after his return to the ring, he was disqualified from a title fight after biting the ear of Evander Holyfield.

Recently, his life has taken a tragic turn, after his four-year-old daughter was found dead at the star's home by her seven-year-old brother.

The source added: "It would be great if this area could be home for a short while to a genuine sporting legend."
