Advice on driving safer this winter

A winter road safety check has been organised by Chiltern District Council to ensure motorists think about how they are driving.

The AA will show visitors how to check anti-freeze levels, wiper blades, oil and brake fluid level.

There will also be portable eyesight testing equipment, a brake reactor and' beer goggles '.

A goodie bag will contain leaflets, an ice scraper, a tyre depth gauge, a fluorescent jacket, a de-icer.

The Fire Service exhibition vehicle will also be at the event on December 11 showing road safety DVDÕs and literature and Thames Valley Police will have its Speed Indicator Device (SID).

It will be held at the council offices in King George V Road, Amersham on Thursday, December 11 from 10am-3pm.
