Giving your skills for charity

Cancer Research UK is calling on the people of Buckinghamshire to offer an hour of their time to help fund vital research into cancer.

The charity has chosen Bucks as one of five counties to launch their Give Take Donate scheme where 'givers' donate their skills and rather than paying the 'taker' can choose to make a charitable donation.

Kevin Waudby, head of innovation at Cancer Research Uk, said: "We’re hugely excited about the launch of Give Take Donate in our five pilot counties and I really hope that the people of Buckinghamshire will be too.

"It’s a brilliant way of fundraising for the charity’s important work. Everyone has something to give, so please visit the website to see how to sign up.”

Skills which can be sold for donations include consulting, dog walking, day care, DIY or personal training.

To sign up to be a giver or for more information visit www.givetakedonate.org. Are you giving your skill to this worthy cause? Let us know via our forum.
