Couple could help arson investigation

Police have released CCTV footage of a couple they believe can help their investigations into an arson attack in Chalfont St Peter last month.

In the early hours of Saturday, October 18, a caravan was set on fire and destroyed in The Vale.

The image of the couple shows them walking through the village and the police would like them to come forward as they may have seen something.

PC Gavin McVeigh, investigating the arson, said: “The couple are being sought as they may have witnessed people acting suspiciously in the area or may have heard something which seemed unusual.”

If you were in the area at the time of the incident and saw or heard anything, please contact PC Gavin McVeigh at Amersham police station via the Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.

Or if you don’t want to talk to police or leave your name, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
