Pupils put on a special performance

Talented pupils performed a musical extravaganza for residents at the National Society for Epilepsy.

The youngsters from St Joseph's Catholic School, The Chalfonts Community College and The Vocal Performance Academy from St Peter Church Hall entertained crowds with song and dance at the centre in Chesham Lane on Saturday.

The event's organiser Kate Butcher said: "These busy children gave up their precious Saturday afternoon for our residents as a show of community spirit, and it made for a very enjoyable afternoon.

“It can be very quiet here on weekends, and I was hoping for something that would appeal to all of the different age groups that we have here at the centre. I've never seen so many residents support a community event. It has been wonderful and I've already been begged by our appreciative audience to do it again.”

She added: "With the festive season fast approaching, it was good to brighten up a grey weekend in this way, and we are very grateful to the talented youth, their respective schools, and their encouraging teachers for their support."
