Dear Cheryl,
As one of your hugely disillusioned and angry constituents vehemently opposed to the absurd HS2 "Grande Projet", I couldn't let the discomfort of our leader (following the humiliating mid-term election results); pass without contacting you to enquire how you perceived Boris Johnson's triumphant passage back to City Hall, and his comment that he had:
"survived the rain, the BBC, the Budget, and the endorsement of David Cameron......" ?
Will you; do you think, be able to endorse so whole heartedly and with such gravitas the government's omission of a Bill on "the hugely unpopular and controversial" (Sunday Telegraph), HS2 project from the forthcoming Queen's Speech; widely seen as a means of Mr Cameron frantically trying to recover ground with his dissenting and deserting back bench supporters, as you were readily able and willing to endorse Transport Secretary Ms Justine Greening's announcement of it's approval to proceed which will see up to £1bn of taxpayers' money wasted in this Parliament on your leader's whim which has no mandate?
Thank goodness that Nadine Dorries had the foresight to point out before it is too late for the country as a whole that "not only are Cameron and Osborne two posh boys who don't know the price of milk, but they are two arrogant posh boys who show no remorse, no contrition, and no passion to want to understand the lives of others – and that is their real crime".
In the hope and belief that you are not as arrogant as the two posh boys, one hopes that you at least might one day acknowledge that you were wrong.....
