COUNCILLOR Berry is quite right to draw readers' attention to Mr Cameron's letter (May 26).
It is a mystery the Prime Minister did not limit his comments to 'The consultation process is now under way, we will listen to what people have to say and then decide how best to proceed'.
I can only conclude that his comments ran to three pages because he thought he was writing a private letter to Mrs Gillan.
That said, it is not good enough for Mr Berry to continue with his campaign for local MPs to resign from their government jobs. He has run this as chairman of the Great Missenden Village Association, as a leading local Liberal Democrat and now independent, and it has had zero effect.
He was elected to stop HS2 and must now start delivering. It is action, not words, people expect. He must start showing some leadership and set out clearly what he plans to do.
Conservative councillors have been the most active and consistent political group in Buckinghamshire opposing the government's plans. The recent appointment of Martin Tett as leader shows they mean business.
Come on, Seb, let's have some action. The time has come to put up or shut up. You could start by supporting the action of local Conservatives - and perhaps even join them.
