HAVING read your article on potholes, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
I called the council back in January 2009 to report the abysmal condition of Narcot Lane (the road between Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles).
There are areas where it is only safe to drive in the middle of the road. God help us no one is coming the other way or that's your lot. At night I dread to think what could happen.
That whole road has been an utter disgrace for two years and filling in the holes is not good enough; it needs to be resurfaced properly.
The Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross comprise one of the most expensive areas in this country and we pay horrendous rates. What is the council doing with all our money?
Perhaps the CEO of the council would consider taking a pay cut - then Narcot Lane can be resurfaced.
Selective pothole filling is not working. Perhaps the person responsible for the selection would like a day out from the office and drive around in the Chalfonts area.
I hope they don't get a puncture.
