County warned in '76 of potholes

YOUR report on why we get potholes and the reasons we have them was excellent.

The then county engineer, Mr Scarlett, warned the county council in 1976 that if money was not spent on maintaining the roads and kerbs correctly, the system would collapse.

Please, as a rate payer, will the county promise to repair roads to last longer and not just fill them in as before.
