What are two minutes to you?

Two Minutes' Silence We must remember them ...

Two minutes' silence out of one day A fair exchange each year we pay In less than the time our egg to boil - For a young man's life on foreign soil.

Two minutes' silence we put aside To honour those who bravely died.

In less than the time to toast a slice We remember who paid the ultimate price.

Two minutes' silence we should all stand still Some may not but others will In less than the time to wait for a bus We thank the soldiers who died for us.

Two minutes' silence on November 11 Our heroes we praise from Scotland to Devon In less than the time these words to pen - Then enjoy our lives that we owe to them.
