Stop complaining and help our future

May I ask - or rather plead - with your readers to stop whining and whingeing for a while about Tesco coming to Gerrards Cross, and to support the redevelopment of our local community hospital?

The Buckinghamshire PCT has aknowledged there is a need for a community hospital in Chalfont St Peter, however there is a question of finance.

An estimated £4million needs to be spent on modernising the site.

The PCT has printed a questionnaire listing all the health services they may be able to provide.

These forms are available from the main reception at the local hospital, Budgens and GPs' surgeries locally.

I urge everyone who cares about the future of our hospital to complete these forms and voice their concerns to the PCT.

If the hospital is not rebuilt, part of the unique village community we have will be destroyed.

Delight over Buckinghamshire County Council spending debate

I was extremely heartened to read the ‘Letters’ this week, (December 25) and discover like minded local support for my views on BCC’s massive ongoing waste of tax payers money. I wonder if this is the tip of a sleeping giant which is on the verge of stirring and rising up? Post my earlier letter I also received a number supportive emails and telephone calls. Read
