Buckinghamshire County Council has warned of major traffic delays in some South Bucks roads over the next months because of excavation work.
Cabling work will be carried out in roads in Iver and Stoke Poges throughout January and the early part of February, and Buckinghamshire County Council is urging drivers to avoid these sections when travelling.
The work is part of a plan to lay a 132 KV cable from Iver to Slough which has been in progress since July.

There will be a bridge afternoon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at the Memorial Centre Gerrards Cross on Monday, January 26 at 1.30pm.

GX-Duck-Rescue.jpgA woman who has been feeding the same Welsh Harlequin duck in a Gerrards Cross pond for 10 years needed the help of four youngsters to rescue it after it became frozen.
Val Isaacs, who lives in West Common, has been feeding the duck living in Latchmore Pond, which she has named Gilbert, for the past 10 years.
Gilbert is unable to fly properly like the other ducks who live in the pond and often becomes stranded there and Mrs Isaacs helps him out by bringing him food.

A new television channel based at Pinewood Studios is looking for new presenters and experts to front it.
The channel is dedicated to personal, spiritual and business development and organisers already have self help gurus such as Paul McKenna, Michael Breen, Michael Neill and Bob Proctor on board.
Along with presenters they are looking to hear inspiring stories from people in south Bucks to help make their programmes.

Gerrards Cross law firm B P Collins ended the year on a high note with the news that it has passed stringent Law Society accreditation tests with flying colours.
The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to solicitors who meet the highest management and customer care standards and each year firms have to undergo rigorous independent assessment.

Girl guides from across Buckinghamshire held a special carol service in Stoke Poges.
Guides from places including Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, Stoke Poges and Iver all came together for the service which was held on Sunday.
The event, which was held at the Village Centre in Rogers Lane, included readings, solos and a nativity scene.

A book signing is set to take place at Gerrards Cross Bookshop at the weekend.
Alan Coppin will be signing copies of his new book, Great Britons on Success at the Gerrards Cross bookshop in Packhorse Road on Saturday.
The book deals with thoughts and ideas from famous Brits like Winston Churchill and Mick Jagger.
Mr Coppin will be at the shop between 2pm and 4pm.
