OVER the past few years we have lost count of the number of complaints and stories we have run about the poor state of the roads in our district.
Enough is enough! The Buckinghamshire Advertiser is this week taking a stand and launching a campaign to repair the large number of potholes that blight the district.
On our travels we found more than a dozen potholes in Beaconsfield, Seer Green, Chalfont St Peter, Gerrards Cross, and Holtspur.
If they become large enough, potholes can cause damage to car tyres and suspensions and are extremely hazardous for cyclists.
We need your help and are asking for your pictures and stories of potholes in the district, be it out on your street, or on the roads you use to and from work.
We will then print your pictures and comments to attempt to get our areas roads restored back to an acceptable standard.
You can send pictures via email to bucksnews@trinitysouth.co.uk or by post to Buckinghamshire Advertiser, The Vale, Chalfont St Peter, Bucks, SL9 9ST.
Alternatively you can register your comments about pothole problems on the website.

THE Iain Rennie Hospice at Home (IRHH) has hit its emergency appeal target thanks to a tidal wave of public generosity and a massive donation by a mystery supporter.
IRHH, which provides invaluable home care to terminally ill people, announced last September that it needed £200,000 by the end of March and secure long-term support from the Buckinghamshire Primary Care Trust (PCT), or face staff cuts and the withdrawal of its unique 24 hour on call home service.
The Buckinghamshire Advertiser and Examiner, hand in hand with the IRHH emergency appeal, launched the Save our Hospice Nurses campaign and is proud to announce this week that an incredible £220,000 has been raised – two months before the deadline.
The fund rocketed past the £200,000 mark after an anonymous donor read about the campaign and gave a staggering £50,000.
Robert Breakwell, IRHH appeals and communications director, said: "The response to our emergency appeal has been amazing and we can not thank people enough for their generous response and all their messages of support.
"The news at our appeal target has been reached is fantastic although we know that our financial worries are far from over."
Donations started pouring in straight away – more than £13,000 was raised in just one week and they hit £150,000 by Christmas.
But the charity has also warned this week that problems are certain to continue.
The Bucks PCT, facing its own financial crisis, is unlikely to provide any additional funding in 2007, which leaves the charity facing another shortfall.
IRHH, which has already cut operating costs, says NHS cuts in community nursing has lead to added pressure and the charity is now appealing for its supporters and donors to make a regular monthly donation of any amount.
Mr Breakwell added: "We expect to face very considerable challenges as, regrettably, our funding difficulties are certain to continue for the foreseeable future."
