Man charged after drug factory raid

A man arrested during a raid of a farm in Iver Heath on Tuesday, October 16, has been charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis.
Colin James McKenna, 28, of Millgate, High Wycombe, was remanded in custody by Aylesbury Magistrates’ on Thursday.
Police recovered hundreds of cannabis plants following a raid at a derelict farm in Iver Heath on Tuesday.
Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at the farm in Sevenhills Road after receiving an anonymous tip-off from a member of the public.
The plants have an estimated street value of £500,000.


Det Insp Steve Williams said:”The fact that the initial information came from a member of the public highlights how much of an impact the community can have in preventing and solving crime.”
The raid was carried out as part of Operation Falcon and inside the farmhouse officers found racks of plants which were being dried out.
Hundreds of plants were also found in a makeshift greenhouse in a field behind the house.
Ch Insp George Wrigley, Local Police Area Commander for South Bucks, said the raid was part of Operation Falcon’s initiative to deal positively with drug dealers and the production of drugs in any shape or form.
