Guns have been found at Wapsey's Wood caravan site after police searched the site today.
One plot with two caravans was searched by specialist officers and a shotgun and a handgun, as well as shotgun and handgun ammunition, were seized.
A man and a woman in their twenties who live on the plot have been arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of prohibited weapons and the investigation is ongoing.
About 40 Public Order, firearms and Roads Policing staff were involved in the search.
Chief Inspector George Wrigley, Local Police Area commander for South Bucks, who led the operation, said: “There have been some violent incidents between various factions of the travelling community and the threat of serious injury has been real.
“Following on from this, we took positive action and the threat of violence in this community has been reduced. If anyone has information about the people behind the violence, I would urge them to contact the police or Crimestoppers.”
