Kew 136
Gerrards Cross 138-5
(Gerrards Cross won
by five wickets)

Gerrards Cross kept the pressure on Sommers UK Home Counties Division Two West leaders Tring Park, staying just five points behind them, with a home victory over bottom side Kew.
This was the fourth win in a row for the Cross who this Saturday travel to relegation threatened Aston Rowant while Tring play Kidlington, the latter just four points behind the Cross in third.
It is building up to a dramatic finale as Gerrards Cross host Tring on the last weekend of the season in what could be the title-decider.

Against Kew, the Cross made early inroads, reducing them to 15-3 after five overs. Rob Tindall (30), Ed Griffin (24) and Paul Abbott (22) offered some resistance and Kew reached lunch on 99-6.
The Cross wrapped up the Kew innings for 136 soon after lunch with Ben Ingrey (4-54) and Jon Newell (4-33) being the chief destroyers.
Openers Mark Wright and Matt Eyles made a rapid start to the reply, belting 35 runs off the first five overs.
After the dismissal of Wright, the Cross middle order crumbled to 59-4 with Kidron Thomas (2-37) and Ali Jaffer (2-42) inflicting the damage.
A further wicket fell with the score on 80, and the Cross were facing possible defeat.
However, Sam Litchfield (30 not out) and Jonny Hughes (36 not out) shared an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 58 to guide them home.
