BEACONSFIELD could have been mistaken for Albert Square at the weekend as many past and present EastEnders cast members descended upon the town for the wedding of an ex co-star.
Shane Richie, 43, who lives in Denham, married dancer Christine Goddard, 28, at a ceremony at St Mary’s and All Saints Church, in Windsor End, on Saturday, July 21.
Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell), Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell), Rudolph Walker (Patrick Trueman), Nicholas Bailey (Anthony Trueman) and Perry Fenwick (Billy Mitchell) were among the soap stars who turned up to see Mr Richie take his vows dressed in an all white suit.
Other celebrity guests included comedian Bobby Davro and actress Pauline Collins and husband John Alberton.
Mr Richie, who played EastEnders character Alfie Moon for three years and scooped the TV Quick Best Soap Actor award in 2005, proposed to Christine in 2005 and the couple have a one year old son Mackenzie.
