'Vicious' stabbing in Gerrards Cross

Posted by Julie Voyce on June 6, 2007 4:45 PM |

A LONE man was stabbed in Gerrards Cross in a vicious and unprovoked attack during the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday.
The 34-year-old was attacked as he was walking along Windsor Road, near the M40 motorway over-bridge, towards Stoke Poges, sometime between 12.30am and 1.30am on Monday, May 28.
The victim received a single stab wound to the abdomen and was taken to hospital where he underwent surgey before being discharged..

Although he thinks he was helped by a member of the pubic, he cannot be sure.
There have also been reports of two men in a black Vauxhall Astra at the time of the attack.
DC Iffat Shamim, investigating, said: "This was an unprovoked and vicious attack on a lone man.
"He received a nasty stab injury to his abdomen which could have had much more serious consequences. He thinks he remembers a member of the public offering help, but understandably his memory of the attack is unclear.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area or driving down the road and witnessed the attack. I would also like to speak to the member of the public who may have offered assistance.
“There have also been reports of two men in the area in a black Vauxhall Astra at the time of the attack."
If anyone has any information, please contact DC Shamim on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111
