Posted by Julie Voyce on June 4, 2007 12:59 PM |

A man has been arrested this morning at the scene of an accident on the M40 southbound and is currently in police custody.
Seven vehicles were involved in the crash between junction 2 and 1a and one person has died, several people have been injured and have been taken to Wexham Park Hospital.
One lane of the M40 is open from junction four until junction two where the motorway is closed. Traffic is being diverted on to the A40 but there are extensive tailbacks and motorists are being advised to avoid the area for the foreseeable future.
