Beaconsfield

BEACONSFIELD Adult Learning is offering Saturday Workshops in a wide variety of subjects on June 9 at The Beaconsfield Centre, Wattleton Road. All workshops cost £25 and run from 10am-3.30pm except RSPH Food Award which costs £77 from 9.30am-4.30pm. For more details or to enrol call 0845 0 454040.

Saturday, June 9 at 10am-3pm at Beaconsfield School, Wattleton Road features Latin Epitaphs – a beginners guide. A workshop on how to decode Latin epitaphs – no knowledge of Latin required! For more information call 01494 782283.

All's Well that Ends Well – Open Air Shakespeare presented by the Chiltern Shakespeare Company at Hall Barn takes place on Wednesday, June 6 at 8pm, with grounds open for picnics two hours earlier. Audience is under cover. Tickets from £12 available by calling the box office on 08700 667720. This production is in support of The South Bucks Hospice and the Beaconsfield Talking Newspaper.

Beaconsfield Operatic Society are repeating their hit performance of A Hurricane Operatunity based on The Tempes" on June 11-12 starting at 7.45pm at Hall Barn, Old Beaconsfield. Tickets are £12 (£10 concessions).

Chalfont St Giles

THE Women's Evening Institute meeting on Wednesday, June 6 at 7.45pm in the Memorial Hall will have a talk on the story of The Grasse Perfume Industry and Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.

The next meeting of the parish council is on June 6 and the planning committee meets on June 13 at 8pm in the Garden Centre, School Lane.

This is to remind everybody in the village that the next Twinning Association's coffee morning will be held a week later than usual, on Saturday, June 2 from 9.30-11.30 am, in the Reading Room. All the usual stalls will be there, including a clothes rail. So visitors can join up for a cuppa (coffee or tea) and an opportunity to have a chat, as all are most welcome.
