Beaconsfield

All age family worship at 9.30am for half an hour at URC Church, Aylesbury End on Sunday, May 13.

Monday Circle meet in the United Reformed Church Hall, Aylesbury End at 8pm and they invite all ladies to their meeting.

Silver study group with Ian Pickford twice monthly at the Masonic Hall, Windsor End, on Fridays from 10am-noon. £60 for 10 sessions or £6 per session. Contact 01494 674170 for more information.

Chalfont St Giles

Chalfont St Giles Afternoon WI's Spring Sale is on Saturday May 12 at 9.15-11.30am in the Reading Room. There will be cakes, marmalades, gifts, china, cards, objets d'art etc plus coffee and tea.

Chalfont St Giles Gardens Open Day takes place on Sunday, May 13. Some 12 gardens in Chalfont St Giles will open to raise funds for the Memorial Hall and the Community Library. This day is the 13th year that this event has been held and once again it is an opportunity to see some of this village's most interesting and beautiful gardens at their best. New gardens are always being sought to open so if you would be willing to open your garden contact Tony Hoare 01494 872883 or e-mail ethoare@hotmail.co.uk as soon as possible. All gardens are welcome however big or small. Tickets with a map cost £4.50 and give access to all the gardens. Entry is free to accompanied children under 16. They will be on sale on the Village Green on the day. The gardens will be open from 11am-5pm.

The parish council will be meeting at 8pm in the Garden Centre, School Lane on May 16, preceeded by the parish meeting at 7.30pm in Palliser Room, First School.

Deanway United Church Women's Fellowship meet on Wednesdays at 2.30pm at the church. The next meeting is on May 9 and the speaker will be Andy Malone on Fire Safety.
