AN EGG-throwing mob of hoodies launched a sustained attack on a village hall packed with partygoers before smashing up a police car sent to deal with the incident.
Guests arriving for a 21st birthday party at Iver Heath Village Hall had to run for cover as a gang of up to eight youths hurled eggs from a nearby alleyway on Saturday, March 17.
It is believed to be the same gang responsible for an identical attack the Saturday before, when the hall was hired out for a wedding reception by a family from West Drayton.
The mother of the birthday girl from Slough, who does not want to be named, said: "All the guests were beginning to arrive when I saw this mess on the window.
"I then realised it was a smashed egg, and that there were suddenly lots of them everywhere.
"They were throwing eggs at the cars belonging to the guests, forcing about 15 people to leave early because they were worried about their cars."

Police arrived on the scene shortly after 8pm.
Parking in Anslow Gardens and pursuing the culprits – believed to be no older than 14-years-of-age – on foot, the policemen returned to their vehicle empty-handed, only to find the car's wing mirrors smashed, the tyres let down, the aerial missing and the bodywork covered in eggs, saliva and footprints.
Concerned Iver Parish Councillor Bill Lidgate, who arrived at the Village Hall just after 10pm, said: "We know we have had a problem for a while with the youths but now it has gone to a different level and is quite serious.
Following a village hall management committee meeting on Tuesday, March 20, chairman Claire Mowat said: "We have recently installed lighting and CCTV cameras on the site and this had led to an improvement in security and a reduction in anti-social behaviour.
"We hope the police will be able to identify some of the trouble makers."
