Blues sweat on Hinshelwood injury

WYCOMBE face an anxious wait to discover the extent of a knee injury to Adam Hinshelwood after the defender limped out of the home defeat to Yeovil.

The centre-back has been a rock in defence for Wanderers after manager Gary Waddock brought the player from Aldershot on January 1 and had a scan on the injury on Monday afternoon.

When Hinshelwood limped off on 52 minutes, Blues were level with Yeovil and it was no coincidence that they went on to concede three quick fire goals to lose 4-1 after his departure.

Waddock said: “Hinsh has done extremely well since he has been here and we have been a lot more solid since he has been in the side.

“The injury is not too bad but we wanted to make sure it didn't get any worse so we will have to keep an eye on it and see how it is over the next 48 hours.”
